Crown and Lane brings together two complementary backgrounds, united by a shared passion for mechanical watches.
Jappe Croon
With more than 25 years of experience in the watch industry. For the past 18 years, he has been the publisher of Tempus Magazine, the watch supplement of Het Financiële Dagblad (the Dutch equivalent of the Financial Times ).
Jappe has also worked as a distributor for Swiss brands including Glycine and Luminox, and since 2017 has been the owner of horlogeoutlet.nl.
Over the years, he has built a strong national and international network within the watch industry.
Pieter van der Laan
Pieter has been active in the watch industry for the past three years.
Alongside his work as a part-time airline pilot, he has developed a serious and lasting passion for watches, supported by courses in both the Netherlands and Switzerland, including training at WOSTEP.
His interest covers both the technical and cosmetic side of watchmaking, from movement quality and mechanical integrity to case condition, originality and overall presentation.
