Oris Aquis Regulateur “Der Meistertaucher”

The Oris Aquis Regulateur “Der Meistertaucher” is a distinctive Swiss-made automatic diver’s watch with a serious technical character and a highly recognisable dial layout.

At its heart is the Oris Calibre 749, an automatic movement with a regulator-style display. Unlike a conventional watch, the hours, minutes and seconds are shown separately. On this model, the central hand indicates the minutes, while the hours and small seconds are displayed on separate subdials. This gives the watch a clear instrument-like character and makes it stand out within the Aquis collection.

The case is made from titanium, which keeps the watch relatively light on the wrist despite its purposeful diver’s watch dimensions. The watch measures 43 mm and features a rotating diving bezel with a ceramic insert, sapphire crystal and a closed case back.

As the name “Der Meistertaucher” suggests, this is a proper professional-style dive watch. It offers 300 metres of water resistance, strong legibility and a practical, no-nonsense construction built around real underwater functionality.

The grey dial, titanium case and technical regulator layout give this Aquis a more understated and tool-like feel than many standard dive watches. It is practical, unusual and very much an Oris: mechanically interesting, well built and full of character.

This particular watch is New Old Stock and comes with Oris warranty. Please note that the original box and original rubber strap are no longer included, so it is not offered as the original full set. The watch itself is unworn/new old stock and remains a very attractive example of this distinctive Oris diver.
